Here's the story: a friend of mine asked me to paint a character for myself. And he gave me a set of following conditions:
-I had to aviod typical high fantasy style
-the character was to be a mechanic
-the painting should have the cartoon-like style
So I got down to work, although it was a bit hard to leave all the high fantasy habits behind. Well, I also received a number of useful hints on mechanical stuff. That's what I managed to paint. I like this work very much. Probably because it's different than the rest of my art...
Pencil, watercolours and tempera, 50x70 cm, 8 days, 2007.
